This morning just got a bit less cloudy, thanks to Beckâs bittersweet new standalone single, âThinking About You.â
The first new original Beck song to be released since his universally acclaimed, GRAMMY-winning Hyperspace album, âThinking About Youâ is a sublime dose of undiluted elemental Beck. A heart-tugging ballad in the tradition of classics Morning Phase and Sea Changeâand incidentally recorded in the very same room as the latterââThinking About Youâ finds Beckâs wistful vocal and acoustic guitar tones accompanied by Blake Mills (guitar, mandolin), Justin Meldal Johnsen (bass) and Roger Manning (keyboards).
âThinking About Youâ will have its network TV debut when Beck appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live! February 16.
âThinking About Youâ drops on the eve of a busy touring year for Beck. His upcoming 2023 live calendar begins with a trio of stripped down acoustic performances in Australia, includes appearances at Willie Nelsonâs 90th birthday shows at the Hollywood Bowl and the High Water Festival in North Charleston SC, and is rounded out by his highly anticipated North American co-headline tour with Phoenix.
